NanoVic and DR Chip Biotech Sign MOU Print E-mail
Nanotechnology Victoria Ltd. and DR Chip Biotechnology Inc. completed an MOU in July 2008, with a focus on working towards collaborative and cross licensing opportunities between the companies.  This will potentially enable each company, to access the others intellectual property for diagnostic and technical products.
Dr Bob Irving, NanoVic's Director of Delivery and Sensing, commented "This MOU is an exciting step forward in exploring the complementary technologies of NanoVic's Bead NanoArrays with DR Chip's DR DiY and DR AiM proprietary platforms".

p1010072_cropped_small.jpgNanoVic's Bead NanoArray technology is a highly sensitive, cost effective and high throughput protein-based diagnostic platform - the initial application for which it is being developed is for the detection of organisms responsible for bovine mastitis, providing a mechanism for more effective management of affected dairy herds.

The potential to incorporate the Bead NanoArray technology, with DR Chip's DR DiY and DR AiM biochip platforms and manufacturing capabilities, will greatly enhance the product development process and enable future developments to be realised.

Dr Shin-Hwan Wang, managing director and DR Chip’s CEO commented, "We view this MOU with Nanotechnology Victoria Ltd as important to our continuing commitment to increasing the range and quality of tests that DR Chip can provide as diagnostics".

DR. Chip Biotech Inc. is developing, commercialising and marketing a range of products using its proprietary microarray and lab-on-a-chip platforms.  For more information, visit the company’s website at www.bio-drchip.com.tw
